Although it means "Friendship" in Latin, Antilles hasn't always been the most
stable of bands. Starting out in a living room years ago, the lineup has plowed
through a startling number of drummers and bass players before evolving into a
solid four-piece rocking machine.
Armed with a country-informed pop sensibility, smaller than average paychecks,
and their recent CD release The Crumbling Process, this rocking band of
brothers are ready to take on the Northern hemisphere, and from there the
world!
After many aborted attempts, Antilles has finally released their debut album
The Crumbling Process. This shining new full-length CD — filled
with heroic tales of heartache, B-movies, oceanography, and undeserved death
— has a scientifically proven running time of 41 minutes and 19 seconds,
and as a sales-boosting feature has a young woman pictured on the cover.
A critical darling in run-down biker-bars and unpaid benefit gigs, Antilles is
looking to expand thier fanbase and transcend the boundaries of radio-friendly
pop in the coming millenium.
